Anne works out of her beautiful home studio in the Bucktown neighborhood of Chicago where she lives with her husband Rich, Izzy (Canine) and Oliver (Feline) . She exhibits paintings at Fine Art Fairs & local Galleries, does illustration, Commissions (custom dog and pet portraits) & Public Art Projects (most recently, Suite Home Chicago) as well as teaching art to children.
Anne just illustrated the recently published Amazon Girls Handbook, by Becky Thacker, has 6 licensed designs in the Home Decor Market, 2 published greeting cards, and paintings in collections world-wide.
"I paint from my heart, creating bold, colorful paintings of whimsical cityscapes, roadscapes, people, and animals (my beloved canine, Izzy, is a constant inspiration!). My lively city and rural scenes are influenced by my love of the city coupled with my love of the rural surroundings I experienced while growing up in small-town Sparta, Wis. My "road-trip" paintings are a metaphor for the colorful journey of my everyday life. My paintings also often include people and animals flying over city and landscapes, inspired by dreams of flying - which are said to symbolize happiness.
I hope that my colorful visual interpretation of the world will brighten the lives of those around me."
